Explore and Connect
The chestnut forest emerges as one of the most captivating landscapes of the Sierra, thanks to its astonishing seasonal color metamorphosis and the majesty of its robust trees that have witnessed the passing of centuries.
Each season brings a radical transformation to this scene, where chestnuts and other deciduous trees reign, painting the panorama with green, reddish, and gray tones throughout the year. In the fall, the forest becomes a feast for the senses, offering a generous harvest of chestnuts, walnuts, strawberries, and a wide variety of mushrooms, such as Caesar’s mushrooms, saffron milk caps, tentullos, parasol mushrooms, and champignons.
From this wonderful place, you can observe a great variety of birds from strategic points. Discover the richness of the Sierra’s avifauna.
